Welcome to Nanny's Little Corner of Buckwylde 🤎 

Around here, we believe in faith, family, and the kind of homemade goodness that money can’t buy. This cozy corner belongs to my mama — Nanny Rhonda — a pint-sized powerhouse of prayer, creativity, and a dash of some good old-fashioned Oklahoma grit.

While I love the crafty things she creates, my personal favorite has always been her homemade salsa and Oklahoma sand plum jelly. If we could get her to can more than I can eat, you might get to find out it's the best salsa & jelly this side of heaven.  She’s not a tall woman (my siblings & I all outgrew her by the time we hit middle school!), but what she lacks in height, she more than makes up for in grace & grit. She was the momma chasing us down with a flip-flop to tan our hides for what she would call "jackin' around" when we were kids. She didn't much care for sparing the rod and just so happens when given the opportunity to run buck-wild, we did just that! (thinking we could out-run her)

She isn't much into chasing us down anymore, although she doesn't miss an opportunity to let us have a piece of her mind when times call for such drastic measures. She spent more than 30 years working for the local school district and just recently in the last few years began to enjoy retirement.  I believe she has been going stir crazy being one of those people who can't sit idle for very long. So, she jumped on that sewing machine and it's been Pedal to the Metal ever since. 

We carved out this quiet corner of Buckwylde Co. just for her — a place where she can share her handmade purses, wood creations, and hippy-hearted projects with you. Some call it upcycling — Nanny calls it grace. Where others see worn denim, she sees promise — the same way her faith sees beauty in the broken.

Every purse tells a story worth carrying — proof that God still works miracles with what’s been worn and weathered.

Now, a little note straight from us: everything you see here is homemade. Nanny’s not looking to make a living — she’s already rich in the ways that matter most. Her joy comes from creating, and every purchase simply helps her keep doing what she loves.
